    Falcon and his prey

Believe it or not. This is in the city. Downtown Toronto to be exact. Here's the story. I did something nice today and volunteered at my old high school to help out the photography class and teach them while we were downtown. Then this Hawk landed with his lunch in his talon's. It was only there for a few minutes, and I just happened to see this amazing bird. I guess good things do happen to you when you start to do good things back. It really made my day. To see the some of the other Hawk photos, visit my flickr.

very nice photograph. You caught it perfectly, with the wings flared as if it is about to take off.

Amazing capture

I've always thought of falcons and hawks and the like as really cold looking, strange birds. This is a brilliant photo, especially as you caught him/her with his/her wings out like that.

What I actually just learned was the bird is actually a Hawk. I had a professional ID it for me. Interesting to see them in the City. Thanks again!

We have lots of those. They kinda just twirl around in the air and eat rabbits. It's kinda gross, 'specially when they leave them on the farm :O

It is, isn't it? Don't birds of prey usually stay away from civilization? I guess the buildings are no different than mountains to them.

You're welcome :)
